Dear Heath Parents and Teachers,

We are looking for more people to actively participate and bring fresh new ideas to the Heath Diversity Committee.

The committee is open to all and meet the first Wed. of each month at the Library. Our next meeting is scheduled for this coming Wed. February 1st at 6pm.

Next week 5th and 6th graders will be learning about intellectual disabilities.  We have been trained in the new curriculum and we're very excited to work with students and teachers in this enriching program that promotes acceptance, inclusion and awareness.  We are in need of a few volunteers for our intellectual disabilities unit, scheduled to be taught on Thursday, January 12th from 8:15-10:00. 

It's time for the Heath PTO to host the annual Heath Teacher & Staff Holiday Luncheon on Friday, December 16th.  Please help us extend our thanks and appreciation to this deserving bunch.  Homemade or purchased items are welcome and appreciated. Please click on the link below to sign up to help; all items may be brought to the Teacher's Lounge on the morning of the 16th.  Thank you everyone for your effort. Happy Holidays!

We are organizing a Library Team to help with shelving and book preparation, so that our librarian Colleen Carney can devote her non-teaching time to curriculum development and collection development.  Ideally we'd like to set up a weekly schedule, so if you have 1-2 hours available, we'd love your help.  Colleen will be training new volunteers on Tuesday, Nov. 29 and Thursday, Dec. 1 in the Library after drop off from 8:05 to 8:30 am.  Please join us!  We will then be using signupgenius.com to manage our volunteer schedule.  This is a great way to see what books we have, meet other parents, and help the library!
